If you like the pixie, you can let it grow and style it like a long pixie, and then let it grow a bit more until it looks like how mine looked, which was like the actress from Nip And Tuck the first season, the one that was Julian Macnamara's girlfriend who became a porn star, wavy and blond. I am so copying that look when I cut mine again, loved her hair.

Try some different things in advance so that when the dance comes you will be prepared. Try putting some Tresemme mega hold super firm control sculpting gel in your hair and play around with it. Wraps some hair around your fingers to make some loose curls, flip it and run your fingers through it, or a messy bun would be cute.

I have curly/frizzy hair if no mousse is added, but I do add it and it's good, but I prefer straight hair, so I was thinking of cutting my hair to below my jawbone. And when I straighten my hair you can tell I straighten it, but will it be a good idea to get it short? Or should I just get layer for more style?

I used to have long, slightly wavy hair, and when it was cut into layers It looked so much better. It made it seem more curly, and the layers helped it fall into place.

If you want to keep your hair long, go with a layered style and just use a diffuser attachment on your hair dryer to reduce frizz. That way, you don't have to fight your hair every morning!

I got it cut like that except with longer bangs so I could push them back when I wanted to and I absolutely love it. It looks great straight but its versatile enough to go back as long as you don't get it cut to short. If you need a good straightener, I suggest a ceramic one. I wish I could help you pick a haircut out, but I have no idea what you look like! I do want to tell you that a straightening balm or cream will be better for your hair than mousse. And if you are going to straighten your hair all the time, be sure that you come in the salon with your hair straightened already and have them cut it dry. If you get it cut when it is wet and curly, it might look totally different when you go to style it straight!
