ok.. i have hair about down to the middle of my back. when i straighten it, the ends and the front parts curl in or out different ways... i need some advice on how to keep it straight.. and i was thinking about gettin my hair styled.. not cut short, just gettin layers.. but i am scared that layers will make it more curly.. what should i do?

There's a good chance that cutting would make it curlier. Did you try using a hair wax on the ends, like bed head headbanger wax? It's thicker that gel so it may weigh the hair down to keep it from curling out.

before blow drying, run through it with straightening heat activated serum

after you curl it, brush the curls in the direction you want them to go with a round brush
